Preparing and training employees for potential threats in the workplace is an important part of any organization’s safety and emergency response plan. The Northern Rhode Island Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with the Lincoln Police Department, is offering a unique training opportunity focused on active shooter preparedness for businesses and organizations.

This session will focus on recognition, prevention, and preparedness strategies for potential active threat situations, while emphasizing practical steps businesses can take to strengthen their emergency action plans.

During this training, attendees will learn:

  • Common warning signs and behaviors associated with active threats
  • Practical workplace safety and response strategies
  • How to develop or strengthen an emergency action plan
  • Best practices for communication between businesses and local first responders
  • How to prepare employees to respond quickly and safely in an emergency

This training is designed for business owners, managers, HR professionals, facility managers, school and nonprofit leaders, and anyone responsible for workplace safety and preparedness.

In partnership with the Lincoln Police Department

This training provides an important opportunity for the business community to work directly with local law enforcement to better understand how to prepare for and respond to emergency situations in the workplace.
