Safe Haven Drop-in Center Team Leader

Safe Haven Drop-in Center is a low-barrier program designed to support individuals engaged in active substance use and who are often homeless.  We use a harm reduction, trauma-informed, person-centered approach, delivering services in a manner that recognizes the inherent dignity of all persons.  Services include providing a safe space to rest, distribution of food, clothing, personal hygiene products, and survival items.  Rescue and Harm reduction supplies are distributed. 

The Team Leader is a Certified Peer Recovery Specialist (or is working towards this certification). They are responsible for daily oversight of the Drop-in Center, which operates Monday - Friday, 9:00 - 4:00.  Our goal is to expand these hours to nights and weekends by building a strong peer team. 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work closely with the VP of Social Health Services and the Deputy to ensure adherence to all accreditation, licensing, and funding requirements. 
  • Work towards billing for provision of peer services. 
  • Ensure that required data is being collected, input and reported in a timely and accurate manner. 
  • Provide individual and group supervision of Drop-in Center peers. 
  • Work collaboratively with the Safe Haven Harm Reduction and Integrated Health Home Teams. 
  • Support Drop-in Center staff to connect clients with a wide array of agency and community resources to meet complex needs. 
  • Engage in internal and external meetings for the purposes of building and sustaining a system of care.
