Relief Staff Warming Center (Per Diem)-Woonsocket, RI

Community Care Alliance is a multi-service agency supporting individuals and families of all cultural backgrounds in their efforts to meet economic, social and emotional challenges and enhance their well-being. During weather events (frigid temperatures, snow, rainstorms), we operate an emergency warming center.  We need someone who can be flexible as you would be called upon to work with only a few hours to a few days' notice.  Responsibilities include supervising the space, monitoring bathrooms, distributing food, warm clothing and other items, connecting people to detox and psychiatric hospitalizations, keeping a log of events during the shift and communicating issues/challenges with the next shift.  Could be asked to administer Narcan/naloxone and/or CPR to an individual who has overdosed.  Training will be provided.  Will work with an experienced staff.
