We are looking for an energetic, upbeat Billing Specialist to join our Billing Team to assist in all aspects of third-party insurance billing. The ideal candidate will be reliable and organized, someone who is as comfortable maintaining a professional and conscientious demeanor as part of our team as well as working independently.
The right applicant will have worked directly with insurance companies, clients, and multiple service providers within an organization with particular strength in the following areas:
- Knowledge of third-party behavioral health insurance billing preferred including collections procedures.
- Exceptional data entry, payment posting skills and attention to detail.
- Must possess strong communication skills to outreach to insurance companies and clients.
- Knowledge and experience with CPT coding preferred.
- Familiarity with Medicare and Blue Cross Blue Shield is a plus.
- Experience with 835 Remittance Advices and EOBs.
Education Requirements: High School graduate or equivalent.
License/Certification/Skill Requirements: Medical Billing and Coding Certification or knowledge/experience gained through experience in a medical office setting. Experience preferred but not necessary. Will train the right candidate.
